It has been fantastic to start the term with the majority of our students exceeding expectations and upholding our values of Integrity, Diversity and Excellence each day at school.

Over the last 2 weeks we have been impressed by the high levels of participation and positive culture displayed at the cross country & athletics carnivals and CAPA showcase. The depth of talent and the commitment of our students across such a broad range of activities is truly impressive.

With the emergence of the cooler weather, we are noticing a number of variations in jumpers being worn each day. The expectation is that students wear a MHS jumper each day of the week. CHS jumpers are only permitted to be worn on a Wednesday. All black leather school shoes must be worn with plain white socks on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Joggers, or running shoes should only be worn on a Wednesday.

It is disappointing to notice that a number of students are making a choice to arrive at school wearing variations to the uniform.

We will continue to monitor uniform on a daily basis and appreciate support from our families in ensuring students are upholding our high standards of uniform expectations every day. Any family requiring support purchasing uniform should email or phone their relevant Deputy.

As this term progresses our students in all years will have mid year assessments across numerous subjects as scheduled below:

  • Year 12 ongoing
  • Year 11 Week 5
  • Years 7-9 Week 6
  • Year 10 Week 9

General strategies to support all students to prepare for these assessments are in their school diaries. This includes a 3-week countdown of progressive steps students can follow to ensure they are prepared in the lead up to their assessments.
