As this term draws to a close, we get to celebrate the conclusion of Year 12’s experience at Merewether High School. This group of students have shown great leadership and have been outstanding role models for the rest of the school.
They have consistently upheld our school values, demonstrating integrity, diversity and excellence across all aspects of school life. After two years of COVID restrictions and ongoing lockdowns, they have managed to re-establish a strong sense of culture and connection here at Merewether High School.
While it will be sad to farewell them, we know that they will embrace an abundance of opportunities and continue to excel in whatever path they follow and we look forward to hearing about their successes and adventures. The HSC Examinations begin on the 12 October and we wish them, and our accelerated students, the best of luck.
We know they are well prepared, so they should go in to their exams confidently and aim for achieving their personal best. Over the last few weeks we have been fortunate enough to welcome our families back onsite for our subject selection and parent teacher evenings.
These evenings are valued by us as they provide us with an opportunity to connect with families and support students in their educational journey. Once again, we would like to thank you for your continued support in ensuring students come to school in the correct uniform items. We are excited that next term we should have a variety of new uniform items available for purchase from the uniform shop.
Remember we strongly value the opportunity to communicate with our families and parents as this supports us to ensure our students achieve the best outcome at school. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance.
